8×8 Inc., the world’s first communications cloud provider, and Aryaka®, a leading provider of software-defined networking (SD-WAN), recently announced a new partnership to arm global, mid-market companies and enterprises with a more reliable, higher-quality unified cloud communication solution. The partnership will dramatically enhance each provider’s service capabilities as well as their customer experiences.
Shawn Farschi, President and CEO of Aryaka, suggested the prospect of combining such complementary services was too appealing to turn down. Farschi said, “Our partnership with 8×8 enables enterprises to significantly enhance the performance of their voice and video communications globally regardless of changing network conditions. This improves business execution and delivers the stable and high-quality experiences that employees, partners and customers demand from communications, collaboration and customer engagement operations.”
8×8’s Senior Vice President of Global Networks and DevOps, Mehdi Salour, echoed Farschi’s sentiments. Salour highlighted how the new partnership will drive higher quality of service and simplified service deployment for customers of the 8×8 Communications CloudTM.
How the Partnership Works
While 8×8 customers will benefit from receiving voice and video solutions powered by Aryaka’s enterprise-grade private connectivity, Aryaka can enable SD-WAN customers with better-quality voice and video communication. 8×8-driven voice and video traffic will run over the public Internet through Aryaka’s global private network, resulting in lower latency and reduced packet loss and jitter.
While the partnership spells good news for 8×8 and Aryaka customers, it may also shed light on a bright future for enterprise collaboration and cloud communication. As global enterprises require higher-quality communication services, unified communication and connectivity providers may attempt to cash in on this demand, leading to the development of additional solutions for businesses. But, like all market trends, time will tell.
